Many boosts have some tone shaping (and yes, some do not).and you could get more sparkle oomph and blast from a pedal designed for guitar amps than a unit designed for PA systems and recording. I feel that a boost pedal (or eq) may be more suitable for squeezing a different type of tone out of the VS100. (For example.a guitarist may demand he use it to record, and the engineer rolls his eyes, and dampens the effect or takes it out anwhile, in the guitar magazine, the guitarist explains how CRUCIAL it is to his tone)

If you have other pro studio or stage tricks and may work. If you have a huge rack of stuff.a BBE might be suitable. And yes.there are some people who like it. Most people that try it, don't like it, many people that do try it, like it for a little while, then realize it's more of a deterrent. My point being that The BBE was not designed for the guitar amplifier.

Unbelievable that this is an all solid state head. Your FAV death metal band may say they are using one, and maybe they are, but there's a lot of other stuff happening there too.īBE was designed for a totally different application. If you're watching this video the chances are you'll already know what an amazing amp this is. I know.sometimes you use whatever works and to each their own and all that.but why add a BBE to even the cheapest Marshall? I'd rather use a metalzone than a BBE.I KNOW! Who'd use a Metalzone?! But it makes more sense than a f'in BBE.if you know what yer doing. Having said that.add disclaimers and IMHO and YMMV and all that.do not use a BB sonic maximizer and ignore anyone who tells you to use one or anything else they say. Many new "3 channel amps" still can't touch it regardless of price. Not modern death metal.but classic rock, hard rock and old school metal (Maiden Priest etc). I usta have the combo and used it for many gigs.
